I have been practicing yoga on-and-off since 2000; and only recently found a Yoga Studio where I became a regular yogi and found a passion that I did not realize I had. I was dedicated to the practice and attended as many classes as I could fit into my schedule. When teacher training was offered, I knew that was my calling and I signed up for the training. In 2018 I obtained my RYT200 level certification as a Yoga instructor.  I completed my certification as a Reiki Master and have an active practice. I truly believe that with the right combination of holistic methods, you can heal yourself and make your life better. I have worked with essential oils and used them for my pets, myself, and my family for the past 20 years or so. I wanted to be able to share the healing properties of these oils with others, so I decided to pursue a certification in holistic aromatherapy from the Kingdom College of Natural Health. My belief is you must have balance within the mind-body-spirit in order to be healthy and one with the self. In addition to these things, I became a certified Natural Health Consultant and Lifestyle Coach. I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the NBRC and NYS. In my own experiences, I have utilized Homeopathy, Herbalism, Nutrition, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Yoga, Meditation, Art Therapy and Journaling to improve and bring balance to my life. I want to share this information with others. Just a few years ago, I was overweight, had high blood pressure, borderline diabetic, high cholesterol, asthma, was extremely stressed, and just an overall mess…all because I had gotten away from my true beliefs of natural health and feeding the body, mind, and spirit. After taking a good hard look at myself in the mirror, and realizing that I did not want to be on pharmaceutical medications to cover the root cause of the “dis”ease, I made major changes that started with lifestyle changes. I began a nutritional quest for the “right” foods that fed my body, began to seriously exercise and started a regular yoga program, instead of the sporadic routine I had developed. I brought herbs, homeopathic remedies, reiki, shamanism, and meditation into my lifestyle and made the changes I needed. Today, I only take a medication to help control my blood pressure, have lost weight, toned my body, and overall feel more in balance than ever. I recently opened No Mud~No Lotus Holistic Wellness Center and Yoga Studio, where I actively teach yoga classes, and produce a variety of holistic aromatherapy and herbal products for humans and animals.

Trista has worked in the health field for 20 years and as an Occupational Therapist, Trista is passionate about helping individuals live life to the fullest.  She witnessed first-hand the healing benefits of yoga when a colleague utilized primary yogic principles while treating a man dealing with alcoholism and its medical side effects.  She soon began exploring a personal practice and started to cultivate the benefits for herself. To Trista, yoga is a way to connect with who she truly is and each time she visits her mat she is closer to embodying that truth and living it day by day.  Trista became a yoga teacher in June of 2016 when she completed my 200 hour certification through an immersion training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA.  When teaching,  Trista loves to help people feel grounded in who they are and encourage them to pause~listen and follow their own path of self-discovery.  She is also an eternal student and celebrates with gratitude the opportunities to continue to learn and grow.

I am a Registered Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga teacher and am trained in Trauma Conscious yoga.  Yoga heals and sharing its many benefits is what I love to do.

Hi, I’m Teresa Nickerson. By day, I am an engineer for NYSDOT and work all over the 6 county Mohawk Valley area. 

I have been practicing yoga for about 3 years at Soul Road Yoga & Wellness in Boonville, Full Lotus Yoga in Rome, and when I get the chance, I love taking classes at Kripalu in Stockbridge, Mass.  Previously my background has been in fitness.  I am a PTIA certified Personal Trainer as well as a Level I USAW Sports Performance Coach.  I am also on staff at Black River Training Co. in Boonville. 

I love practicing yoga. It has taught me so much about myself and becoming my true and authentic self.  I was given an opportunity to teach Yoga FIRE, and I jumped at the chance to become certified in Yoga SHRED (registered).  Yoga FIRE is a perfect fit for me as it combines my love for yoga and fitness.   

I live in Hawkinsville with my husband and son.  I also enjoy gardening, downhill skiing, camping, hiking & travel.

I began practicing yoga over 10 years ago and earned my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in May, 2019 at Full Lotus Yoga Studio. In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, I am also a certified Reiki Master. I continue to study to improve what I have to offer others, as well as for my own self-improvement. I have taken several classes at Spirit Tree that include meditation and am currently enrolled in a course there for intuitive development. I have taught restorative yoga and provided the added benefit of heated corn bags and lavender eye pillows that I made for my classes to add to the healing experience. I have also taught core yoga, power yoga, beginners yoga, yoga 1 and yoga 1/2. My favorite though is the events I have offered with Bianca Johnson and alone that incorporated restorative yoga, along with Reiki and crystals. It is a powerful healing session. Now after reading that, you may think I must be a very relaxed person, right? The opposite is actually true, which is what set me on this journey. I practice yoga to keep the stress at bay. I love sharing with others the enormous physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of connecting with your breath. I also would like to do away with the belief that you have to be flexible to practice yoga. Even the slightest movement can offer huge benefits. The purpose of my class is to have students leave feeling better than when they came in. For that time on the mat, my hope is that your worries are set aside and you are able to turn your focus inward.

I started my journey for fitness 9 years ago.  I've always enjoyed being active and more recently, I found my real love for yoga.  I have always been part of a gym atmosphere and joined crossfit in 2016.  I loved the competition, pushing myself and feeling part of a community of like-minded individuals.  In 2019/2020 I began training/coaching with Movement at Move Breathe Live, LLC.  I find myself able to move again like I did as a child; enhancing  my strength, flexibility and mobility.  There are numerous progressions offered for all levels so you can see and feel the progress made during the session. I completed my RYT 200 training in December 2019. I enjoy teaching and learning different flows of yoga; vinyasa flow, hot yoga, restorative, etc.  I continuingly work towards enhancing my knowledge and skill set.   I have found peace, new joy to my life, freedom and tranquility in myself and my surroundings.  My family is very important to me and want to model health, accountability, kindness, pure joy and being truly mindful.
