Yoga Nidra, meaning yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice. We will help you to prepare the body and mind to settle into a comfortable and relaxing position. We will then begin settling and preparing for the guided meditation (Yoga Nidra practice) where you will first be prompted to set a personal intention (or sankalpa). Then, while in a comfortable supine position, you’ll follow along to the teacher’s cues bringing your attention to different points in the body. This class will help you relax the physical body while helping to quiet the mind and calm the nervous system. Several props may be used in the position you relax into for guided meditation in order to fully support the body and allow you to enjoy the practice without any strain or tension. No experience necessary. All are welcome.
